Education for All Celebrates Impactful Partnerships: Highlighting Beneficiaries and Donors
Pretoria, South Africa - Education For All, a non-profit organization dedicated to providing educational opportunities to underserved communities, is proud to spotlight two beneficiaries and two donors who have significantly contributed to its mission of promoting accessible education for all.
Beneficiary Spotlight:
Avery Hughes, a mother of two girls from the Western Cape, and Milan Tackie from Mpumalanga, have received scholarships to study nursing at the John Hopkins University School of Nursing. These scholarships are made possible through a partnership between Education For All and the John Hopkins University, aimed at providing financial support to students in need who have the potential to make a difference in society. The scholarships cover tuition fees and living expenses, offering these students the opportunity to excel in their studies. Their selection underscores their academic excellence and commitment to community service, highlighting the transformative power of education.
Donor Recognition:
Mrs. Kassie Freeman, Assistant Professor at Peabody College, Vanderbilt University, has received prestigious awards, including the Spencer Postdoctoral Fellowship and the Pro Renovanda Cultura Hungariae Foundation Award, recognizing her academic excellence. She has generously donated R 5 000 000.00 to Education For All, supporting the construction of new classroom blocks in Limpopo. At the recent Atlantic Dialogue event in Midrand, Johannesburg, Mrs. Freeman discussed her dedication to education and community development with Mamoun Ghallab, the media and communications manager.
Similarly, Mrs. Almaz Negash, CEO of African Diaspora Network, a California-based non-profit, leads with a mission to engage the African diaspora through an ethics of care, enhancing their well-being and involvement in Africa's development. The network connects entrepreneurs, investors, academics, and leaders globally, delivering tangible results and real value. Mrs. Negash's philanthropy extends to a generous donation of R 2 000 000.00 to Education for All, earmarked for books and uniforms for Grade 12 students. Recently interviewed by Michael Smith during the African Diaspora Investment Symposium, Mrs. Negash continues to champion positive contributions to Africa's development.
